I have been a GP partner for only 18 months and was looking to move house. I discovered that no lender I contacted would be willing to take me on the basis of the practice’s trading history, they wanted 2-3 years of my personal tax returns. The first mortgage broker I spoke to seemed uncertain and had a convoluted plan as to how we would submit the practice accounts only once my initial application would be rejected! I never had to submit a personal tax return and it was all sorted in 4 weeks (with most of the delay being getting the valuation booked in). It was always easy to get through by phone if I needed to speak urgently, they also respond very quickly to email and the whole application is done remotely so it is very convenient for people with a busy job
