Revert rate – The revert rate is the variable interest rate you pay when your fixed rate period ends if you have stayed with Vida Homeloans but not secured a new rate.
The revert rate is charged at a margin above the Vida Homeloans Variable Rate which tends to follow the Bank of England Base Rate.
Product fees – Are charged by Vida for some mortgage rates on product switch. Where charged these fees can be added to the loan or paid with credit or debit card before the offer is accepted.
Early repayment charges – These are fees payable to Vida Homeloans if all or part of the mortgage is repaid earlier than the end of the agreed fixed rate term. Overpayments of up to 10% or your balance In any rolling 12 month period without any charge being made.
Vida Homeloans product switch offers and acceptance – When Vida Homeloans provide you with an offer to switch their product it is important to take time to consider your decision. Once accepted the rate CANNOT be changed. offers not accepted after 14 days automatically expire and will no longer be available.
I have secured a rate, why is the Lender writing to me advising that I am going on to the revert rate?
There is a requirement from the regulator that Vida Homeloans write to you if you have not yet completed on a product switch to remind you of the revert rate. Until the product switch process is complete and your switch done, you may receive these letters. If you have secured a rate, you can ignore them.
